the heir of the sea

We are earth-born children;
washed ashore by motherly waters.

We are dried-up skins
with small oceans swallowed*.

We are gut vessels with two feet
to venture heated lands.

We are changing waters of the tide;
connected streams on voyage;
slowly returning home.
